Releases 05.29.26
Technician Mobile App Update v1.7
This month’s release includes one of the most significant updates to the technician mobile app to date, along with improvements to billing, estimates, and how you search for units and properties across Meld.
Assignment Management
Technicians and tech leads can now assign, unassign, and reassign Melds directly from the mobile app. No desktop required. You can assign yourself, another technician, or a vendor. A confirmation modal appears before any assignment change is saved. Assignment actions are gated behind existing role and permission settings configured by your admin.
All Melds View + Search
A new All Melds tab gives technicians visibility into Melds across their property groups, not just assigned work. Search by keyword, filter by property, and pick up available work in the area. The previous cap on Meld visibility has been removed.
Photo Upload
Photo uploads now run in the background and recover automatically after connectivity drops or the app is closed. Files are saved locally when offline and sync when connection is restored.
Completed Melds & Meld History
Technicians can now revisit past completed Melds from the app. Meld history, which allows technicians to view previous Melds on a unit, is also included in this release.
Tags
Tags are now visible on the mobile app. The ability to add new tags from mobile is coming soon.
Create Meld
The ability to create a Meld directly from the technician app is in development, expected mid-June.
To ensure you are seeing these changes, make sure you’re currently running the v1.7 app. If needed, update manually via the Google Play store or App Store.
Hold Investor Funds [AppFolio] COMING SOON
AppFolio-integrated users will soon be able to enable Hold Owner Funds directly from their AppFolio integration settings. When an owner approves an estimate with this setting enabled, funds will automatically be held in AppFolio for that Meld. A badge will also appear on estimates marked to hold funds in the estimate list.
Billing Wizard – Markup and Invoice Updates
The billing wizard now supports amount and markup columns, including logic for flat fee estimate markups. Invoices are now included in the Meld cost section of the bill creation wizard, and work log detail descriptions are automatically added to the bill description.
Unit and Property Search
City, state, and postcode now appear in unit and property search labels across Meld and Project Create/Edit forms, making it easier to find the right property quickly.
